Built on Rock ! Exploring Answers to Questions about Life, The Universe & Everything

Yes, and a few rare evolutionists are even prepared to publicly admit the possibility.

"Creation and evolution, between them, exhaust the possible explanations for the origin of living things. Organisms either appeared on the earth fully developed or they did not. If they did not, they must have developed from pre-existing species by some process of modification. If they did appear in a fully developed state, they must have been created by some omnipotent intelligence."

D.J. Futuyma, Science on Trial.

Is God a Realistic Option?

Ask yourself, why for example does the multiverse (multi-universe) theory exist? Because only an infinite number of universes makes the chance of a freak universe like ours, statistically possible. Bring infinity into an equation and anything can happen which perhaps is why it is introduced. It is a way to fix the odds and dispose of the necessity to think about a Creator God.

There are all manner of theories to explain away the need for God’s existence

Another aspect to consider and ponder here is that despite and the arguments for and against the existence of God when it really all goes terribly wrong who do we either reach for / pray to or blame - God.

When all is stripped away from us and we are left hurting, damaged and in a hopeless situation our base code programming reaches out for God even in individuals whose intellect would normally deny all possibility of His existence.

Intrigued to know more? In a Nutshell
In the end though there seems to be only two contenders

Every possible explanation should be tested. And when there are only two candidates it seems almost criminal to spend 99.9.......% of funding,  time and energy trying to build a case for evolution, a theory which disposes of the necessity of a creator God. This is surprising since science in the western world was birthed in the Christian faith and the belief that God created all things out of nothing.

The greatest scientist of the twentieth century was not a Christian or even a believer in a personal God. But he did say the following, and it should humble those of lesser ability in the scientific world who ridicule the idea that intelligence must lie at the root of creation.

Douglas Futuyuma is a very well respected evolutionist. So you may wonder, if he can accept the possibility, why this alternative is not studied and the evidence tested against the hypothesis.

Albert Einstein said:

"The human mind is not capable of grasping the Universe. We are like a little child entering a huge library. The walls are covered to the ceilings with books in many different tongues. The child knows that someone must have written these books. It does not know who or how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. But the child notes a definite plan in the arrangement of the books - a mysterious order which it does not comprehend, but only dimly suspects."

“Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe–a spirit vastly superior to that of man, and one in the face of which we with our modest powers must feel humble.”

“In view of such harmony in the cosmos which I, with my limited human mind, am able to recognise, there are yet people who say there is no God. But what really makes me angry is that they quote me for the support of such views.”

If God exists then that fact alone is a game changer. Because the level of God's involvement in the creation of the universe cannot be known unless this God tells us. And the Bible tells us that God was involved in every part.
